Sweet and Sour Chicken
Ingredients:
- Chicken boneless ½ kg
- Egg white (Anday ki safedi) 1 large
- Corn flour (makai ka ata) ½ Cup
- All-purpose flour (Maida) 2 tbs
- Salt (Namak) ½ tsp or to taste
- Garlic powder (Lehsan powder) 1 tsp
- White pepper powder (Safed mirch powder) 1 tsp
- Water (Pani) 2 tbs or as required
- Oil for frying
For Sauce:
- Oil 1 tbs
- Onion (Pyaz) cubes ¼ Cup
- Red bell pepper (Laal Shimla mirch ) cubes ¼ Cup
- Yellow bell pepper ( pilli Shimla mirch) cubes ¼ Cup
- Capsicum (Shimla mirch ) cubes ¼ Cup
- Pineapple (ananas) cubes ¼ Cup
- Oil 1 tsp
- Tomato ketchup 4 tbs
- Brown sugar powdered 4 tbs
- Soy sauce 1 tbs
- Salt (Namak) ¼ tsp or to taste
- Pineapple juice ¾ Cup
- Vinegar (Sirka) 2 tbs
- Corn flour 1 tbs
- Water (Pani ) 1-2 tbs
Directions:
- In bowl, add chicken boneless cubes, egg white, corn flour, all-purpose flour, salt, garlic powder, white pepper powder and mix well.
- Add water, mix well and set aside.
- In wok, heat oil and fry chicken until golden brown & set aside.
- In wok, add oil, onion, red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, capsicum and stir-fry for 1 minute.
- Add pineapples, mix well and take out in a bowl.
- In the same wok, add oil, tomato ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, salt, pineapple juice, vinegar and mix well.
- In corn flour, add water and mix well.
- In wok, add dissolve corn flour, mix well and cook until desired consistency.
- Now add fried chicken, stir-fried vegetables and give it a good mix.
- Serve with rice.
